Casey Kinchen

Casey G. Kinchen, CPA

Audit Partner

Casey is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately ten years of public accounting experience. Casey began his career at Postlethwaite & Netterville in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he served as an audit manager.

Casey later joined an international accounting firm where he served as an SEC audit manager for numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies. While at this firm, Casey worked with oil and gas, technology, manufacturing, and retail clients.

Casey joined Jamie McElravy on August 1, 2007, and formed McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC where he specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Casey is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.

Matthew P. Manis

Matthew P. (Matt) Manis, CPA

Audit Partner

Matt is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately fifteen years of public accounting experience as well as approximately nine years of experience in senior executive roles in the private sector. Matt began his career at KPMG in Houston, Texas, where he served as a senior audit manager.

Matt later joined an international public company accounting firm where he served as an SEC audit manager for numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies. While at this firm, Matt worked with oil and gas, mining, technology, real estate, manufacturing, and retail clients.

Matt joined McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC on October 2, 2007, where he specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Houston.

Jon Ridenour

Jon E. Ridenour, CPA

Audit Partner

Jon is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately ten years of experience in public accounting and in management roles in the private sector. Jon began his accounting career at an international accounting firm in Houston, Texas, where he served as a senior SEC auditor.

While there, Jon worked with numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies in the oil and gas, technology, manufacturing, and biotech industries.

Jon joined McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC on October 2, 2007, where he specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Jon is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Houston.

Ben Ortego, CPA, CIA

Audit Manager

Ben is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately eight years of experience in audit roles in both public accounting and the private sector. Ben began his career at Postlethwaite & Netterville in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ben later joined a privately held construction company with annual revenues exceeding $1.5 billion and held a management position in its internal audit department.

Ben joined M&K CPAS, PLLC in June of 2009, where he specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Ben is a graduate of Louisiana State University.

Allison H. Reed

Allison H. Reed, CPA

Audit Manager

Allison is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately seven years of experience in public accounting. Allison began her accounting career at a local accounting firm in Houston, Texas, where she served as a senior auditor. While at this firm, Allison worked with manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and hospitality clients.

Allison joined McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC in June of 2008 where she specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Allison is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

Mike Brooks

Mike Brooks, CPA

Audit Manager

Mike is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately eight years of experience in public accounting and in accounting roles in the private sector.  Mike began his career at a regional accounting firm based out of Texas where he served as part of the management team and specialized in audits of governmental and non-profit entities. He was also responsible for the completion the firm's individual and not-profit tax returns. Mike later joined KPMG where he worked with oil and gas and real estate clients.

Mike is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mike joined M&K CPAS in February of 2010 where he specializes in public sector clients and growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities.

Mike is a graduate of Sam Houston State University.

Mike Brooks

Amy Parmer, CPA

Tax Manager

Amy is a licensed certified public accountant with ten years of diverse tax and accounting experience in both public accounting and the private sector. Amy began her career as a staff accountant at Arthur Andersen in Houston, Texas and later transitioned to Briggs & Veselka, a mid-sized CPA firm based in Houston.

Amy joined M&K CPAS, PLLC tax team in September of 2010, where she specializes Federal & State income tax planning & compliance, as well as entity structure planning.  Her experience encompasses all phases of tax services including preparing federal and state tax returns, IRS problem resolution, and business and tax planning.

Amy is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She is a member of the Texas Society of CPAS and the AICPA. She is also an active member in Business Network International.
