Certified Public Accountant TeamPartners Casey G. Kinchen, CPA Audit Partner Casey is a licensed certified public accountant with over twenty years of public accounting experience. Casey began his career at Postlethwaite & Netterville in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he served as an audit manager. Casey later joined an international accounting firm where he served as an SEC audit manager for numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies. While at this firm, Casey worked with oil and gas, technology, manufacturing, and retail clients. Casey joined Jamie McElravy on August 1, 2007, and formed McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC where he specializes in growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as reverse mergers, stock option valuations, shares issued for services, private debt and equity issuances, embedded derivatives, and the accounting for and identification of variable interest entities. Casey is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.  Matthew P. (Matt) Manis, CPA Tax Partner Matt is a licensed certified public accountant with over twenty years of public accounting experience as well as approximately nine years of experience in senior executive roles in the private sector. Matt began his career at KPMG in Houston, Texas, where he served as a senior audit manager. Matt later joined an international public company accounting firm where he served as an SEC audit manager for numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies. While at this firm, Matt worked with oil and gas, mining, technology, real estate, manufacturing, and retail clients. Matt joined McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC on October 2, 2007, where he specializes in audit, review, accounting and advisory services for private companies, employee benefit plan audits, and tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. Matt is a graduate of the University of Houston.  Jon E. Ridenour, CPA Tax/Audit Partner Jon is a licensed certified public accountant with over fifteen years of experience in public accounting and in management roles in the private sector. Jon began his accounting career at an international accounting firm in Houston, Texas, where he served as a senior SEC auditor. While there, Jon worked with numerous small-cap to mid-cap publicly traded companies in the oil and gas, technology, manufacturing, and biotech industries. Jon joined McElravy, Kinchen & Associates, P.C. which was later reorganized as M&K CPAS, PLLC on October 2, 2007, where he specializes in audit, review, accounting and advisory services for private companies, employee benefit plan audits, and tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. Jon is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Houston.  Cecil Garrick, CPA Audit Partner Cecil is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas and is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and Texas Society of CPAs. Cecil has 13 years of experience in public accounting. He started his career at EY, and he has been a member of M&K's audit practice in July 2018. Cecil has significant experience with complex US GAAP and SEC reporting matters, including registration statements, business combinations, convertible securities, revenue recognition, leases, and associated accounting and reporting matters. Cecil is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration.  Jay Robbins, CPA Audit Partner Jay is a licensed certified public accountant with approximately 12 years of experience in public accounting and another 10 years in accounting. Jay began public accounting career at ABIP CPAs & Advisors. While at ABIP, Jay primarily worked on audits of private companies within the oil and gas producing industry, construction, non-profits, health services and employee benefit plans. Jay joined M&K CPAS, PLLC in January 2019, where he specializes in public sector clients in the small-cap space along with complex accounting issues such as derivatives, convertible debt, mergers and acquisitions, and valutations. Jay is a graduate of the University of Colorado and the CAP program from the University of Houston.  Daniel Lafley, CPA Audit Partner Daniel is a licensed certified public accountant with over 15 years of experience in public accounting. Daniel began his career at Deloitte, based in Houston, Texas, where he served as staff SEC auditor. While at Deloitte, Daniel primarily worked on audits of publicly traded companies within the oil and gas producing industry. Daniel joined M&K CPAS, PLLC in September 2008, where he specializes in public sector clients and growing small-cap publicly traded companies and complex accounting issues such as business combinations and valuations, impairment analysis, stock options and warrant valuations, embedded derivatives and their valuations, and private debt and equity issuances. Daniel is a graduate of the University of Houston.
